The National Federation of Hungarians in England and Wales, as residents and citizens who have chosen to share the British way of life, would like to express our sadness and extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of this country on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty led a truly exceptional life characterised by a profound sense of duty and tireless work ethic that should inspire us all. She will be remembered as someone who lived by her values – her passing has left a void but her extraordinary legacy will live on.

Her Majesty and Prince Philip visited Hungary in 1993, a first state visit marking our two countries’ shared values of independence and democracy.
