INVITATION Mathias Corvinus Collegium cordially invites You to its panel discussion in London titled: “MCC London Summit on National Sovereignty – In and Outside of the (N)ever Closing European Union” During recent years, European philosophy had been deeply influenced by the phenomenon of globalization. In the meantime, the European Union has been at the crossroads of moving towards federalization or nourishing the cooperation among strong nation states. Will nation states survive in the 21st century? Is the United States of Europe the solution for our continent’s most acute problems? Encouraged by the success of the MCC Budapest Summit on Migration – The Biggest Challenge of Our Time? in March, we decided to continue the professional discussion and dedicate our next event to the observation of the importance of national sovereignity in the 21st century. Speakers of the panel will be: Douglas Murray (Associate Editor of The Spectator), MEP József Szájer (Vice-Chair of the Group of the European People’s Party), Brig.-Gen- (res.) Yosef Kuperwasser (Director of the Project on Regional Middle East Developments at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs), and Greg Sheridan (Foreign Editor of The Australian). Date: 24 June 2019, 4 pm Location: The Royal Horseguards Hotel (2 Whitehall Court, London SW1A 2EJ, UK), Whitehall Suite The panel discussion will be open to the public and press, and requires previous registration.
